The Balance: Our Wellbeing Mental health is part of our wellbeing, and exercise has the potential to enhance it. Consider small amounts of exercise as something that can be put into your “wellbeing bank,” which can lead to positive emotions and relationships to others, energy output, and mental resilience. Now the next time you ask how our mental health coincides with and impacts our exercise, think about the dependence of one on the other and how our wellbeing hangs in the balance. Wellbeing allows us to deal with the hardships of life, giving us coping skills, as well as understanding grief and hardship. It also supports our sense of self, functioning well in our relationships, and overall, feeling good about who we are. So, take the time you need to exercise and recover your brain function so that you can destroy those fitness and nutrition goals in the future.
