We were each given just ONE body to carry us through our lifetime. You can do all the lifts, tucks, injections, and enhancements to your body that you want, but in the end, you are still left with the same vessel you arrived in. That is a heavy thought if you really take the time to process it. Consider this: based on the most recent numbers reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the average lifespan in the US in 2017 was 78 years — and it is only climbing! It is rare that something that is used 16 hours a day (every day) is expected to last even a quarter of that time! Take your cell phone for example, an extension of yourself. They are used as frequently as we breathe but are only expected to last 2 years. How many of us actually maintain our bodies properly over our lifetimes? Rising health issues including diabetes, heart disease, and obesity show that not only do most of us have a problem maintaining our body, we also have a habit of chronically abusing it. Poor diet, alcohol, sun worshipping, and lack of sleep are just a few of the many ways we abuse our bodies. The problem is, at some point those poor choices compound and we are left with chronic illnesses that are sometimes impossible to reverse. It is never too late to start treating your body right. Unchecked, you might be setting yourself up for some unsettling surprises. There is no better time than now for a turning point.
