POST WORKOUT RECOVERY There is no better feeling than the rush of finishing a tough workout! However, the workout doesn’t just end with that last repetition. Post workout recovery is a vital part of fitness, but like stretching, it often gets overlooked. We are so wiped from our sessions in the gym that we just chug a bunch of water and head right to the showers! Many of us are neglecting an important part of the workout. If you’ve been struggling to reach your fitness goals, it might be time to schedule some recovery into your routine. Think about post workout recovery like maintaining your car. Cars need more than gasoline to run properly. They need oil changes, tire rotations, and regular maintenance. If proper care is taken with your vehicle, it will run smoother and last longer. Proper post workout recovery will give your body the same result. Daily workouts will improve, our bodies will feel well rested, and it will be easier to stick to long term fitness regimens.
