Nutrition Quarterly Winter 2023

Letter From the Founder "Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other." - Abraham Lincoln W elcome to thenewyear, and thewondrouswinter season! A time to create a new, healthier you by changing old habits, setting new goals and embracing the future. As I look toward 2023, I am reminded of my own nutritional journey that not only led me to restructure my dietary protocol but also to a life-long commitment of helping others achieve a more nutritious and healthier lifestyle. If you’ve ever attended one of my talks, trainings or read my bio on the website, you know that despite being a lifelong athlete, in my 40s, I found myself stricken with a disease that was caused by what I was putting inmy body. Despite seeing specialists around the country, my condition did not improve. It was at this point I started a self-study into the healing and life-sustaining benefits of a natural, whole-foods based diet. Fully understanding the detrimental effects that highly processed foods laden with hydrogenated oils, GMOs, synthetic sweeteners, heavy metals, and other artificial ingredients have on our bodies was key to my successful healing. Using this knowledge as a cornerstone, I've spent the last 20 years working to simplify the complex world of nutrition and provide healthy, whole-food ingredients everyone can enjoy. The keys to a healthier you? You must… • want to improve your lifestyle • educate yourself on how to alter your lifestyle • commit to improving your lifestyle Are you ready to embrace a new year and new you? If so, I encourage you to take the time to assess your current diet and to better understand how your body processes the ingredients you put in it. If you’re ready, you can start right here! The following pages contain tips, ideas, and advice on how you can experience first-hand the life-altering benefits of what a diet rich in whole and natural foods can provide. Enjoy all the beauty and opportunities winter affords, and above all, stay healthy and enjoy the good things in life. Eat Well!
